TK Chan, co-founder and curator of BLINK Gallery, presents her new work The Reality of My Scotland - Music Castle at The Pacifica Mall and at Victoria Mall in March 2014.

TK Chan creates landscape oil paintings four meters in length, peopled with numerous illustrated characters who interact with visitors by adding personal, often cheeky comment on the scene. Ms Chan’s work has been exhibited in London and Edinburgh, and her publications sold at the Edinburgh Fringe Office and Fruitmarket Gallery.

The artist studied design and worked in Scotland for many years. She misses Scotland and so began to paint Scottish scenes in Hong Kong. For TK, the castle can represent storybook romance ...although her characters wonder whether everybody really does ‘live happily ever after’. Local groups have been invited to add music and dance performance to the paintings, so everyone is invited to share the event.
