Kwan Ka Leung,Kalligrapher,Kelvin Kwan,

Born in Nanhai, Guangdong Province, he was named as Kalligrapher. He came to Hong Kong with his mother when he was five years old. From a young age, he was apprenticed to teacher Liu Sihao who originates from the Lingnan school of traditional Chinese painting with teacher Huang Junbi and calligraphy with teacher Feng Xingheng. After being referred, Mr. Zhao Shaoang, the master of the Lingnan School, personally taught him and therefore his painting skills have improved a lot.

In Calligraphy, he was inspired by his father (Kwan Po Kui, member of Guangdong Calligraphers Association) at the age of seven. Since childhood, he has studied Traditional Chinese studies, poetry, literary aesthetics, seal cutting, and other national arts. At the high school stage, he won many public competition awards, and the principals and teachers unanimously praised him and opened calligraphy courses and exhibitions in the school, which therefore began a milestone in art.

After graduating from university (Bachelor of Social Work), Kelvin aimed to engage in cultural and artistic work, and he hoped to use his creativity to carry positive messages to society. Therefore, “Kelvin Collections", a spiritual gift enterprise, was established on January 1, 2001. The mustard seed metaphor “small but important”, just as every artist is “small but important”. They are hailed as the precursor of contemporary spiritual gifts. His works often give people a sense of simplicity, freshness, and hope. He often sees the needs of others, which is expressed in his works, which resonates and nourishes others’ hearts.
