Fung Wai Man, Kathy is a contemporary Chinese ink artist who was born and raised in Hong Kong. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in finance. All throughout her years, Kathy did not only immerse herself in the financial world, but she also indulged herself in her passion for art. Kathy receives traditional training from masters including Mr Lam Wu Fui and Mr Wa Gor, she now focuses on developing her own style and seeks a breakthrough in Chinese ink art.
Kathy is strong at creating crossovers between the East and the West. She likes to create sparks by bringing together something extraordinarily modern with something traditional. Japanese gold ink and Japanese gold paper are Kathy’s favourite tools in her art creation.
Kathy is a frequent traveler and a natural environment lover. She sets no restrictions and limitations on her creative process. Her creative concept is to raise awareness in the audience that our world is full of hope, positive energy and we are surrounded by good things and good memories.
